Although loving my new job, as a single parent, the additional travel and time away from home has had an adverse effect on my family and the general cleanliness of my house! Having returned home last night to a rotten pumpkin that had fallen off the window sill and onto the carpet, a house that looked like it should be on the life of grime and a child who had not done her reading book or spellings for two days I went through one of those mad and erratic moments where everything just seemed to be spiralling on the domestic side whilst huge pressures were mounting up on the work side.
